HOW TO DO A HARD RESET

NOTE: DO SO ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE AN OPEN SUPPORT TICKET INSTRUCTING YOU TO DO SO, IMPROPER USE OF THIS PROCEDURE MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE. THIS WILL WIPE OUT EVERYTHING!!!!, AND HAVE A FRESH INSTALL. ANY EXTRA ADDONS YOU HAVE INSTALLED OTHER THAN THOSE ON OUR CURRENT UPDATE WIZARD WILL NEED TO BE RE-INSTALLED BY YOU.

***BEFORE YOU BEGIN MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWING IS DONE***




Make sure your HDMI/RCA cables are hooked up properly to your Television

Make sure your power adapter is plugged in

Make sure your device is powered off (RED led light)

These are the steps you need to follow to do a “hard reset”


With a small pin (in this guide we will be using a paper clip), insert it in the small hole (reset button) at the right rear of the mymatrixtv device (Antenna side next to the USB port)

***INSERTING A PIN INTO THE HOLE***




With the reset button held in please power on your device, wait till you see the mymatrixtv splash screen then remove the pin (a paper clip in this demonstration) you will see a screen pop up, please be patient and DO NOT power off the device, it is working. On the menu please Please scroll to wipe data/factory reset.




This will take you to another screen with alot of “no's” as options, please select the one option the says “yes – delete all user data” wait for the process to be completed.



This will take you back to the first screen you where on, please select “Reboot system now”




After your mymatrixtv device has rebooted, you will need to do the initial setup again

***MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE INTIAL SET UP CORRECTLY, MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT TO THE INTERNET NEXT STEP REQUIRES INTERNET ACCESS***

Please enter the matrix media center and run the matrix update wizard
